WPCasa Advanced Search

The regular WPCasa listings search itself is quite complex as your users can combine different search criteria to find the listing they are looking for. But with our WPCasa Advanced Search which is available for FREE you can add even more advanced search options.

When the add-on is active an expandable area will be added to the form. Users will be able to open and close it to their liking and the status is saved to make sure it stays the same when they change the page or come back at a later point of time.

Now let’s see what the plugin does. All you need apart from activating the add-on is to add the [wpsight_listings_search] shortcode to your site. If you’re not sure how to do this, please follow this tutorial.

Without Add-On

By default the listings search form will have the following options. You’ll see the keyword field and the select dropdowns for Offer (sale/rent), Location (taxonomy), Type (taxonomy), Beds (listing details) and Bathrooms (listing details).

With Active Add-On

Now when you install the WPCasa Advanced Search add-on you will have to do nothing more than activate it in your installation. A new Advanced Search button will be displayed. Users can click on that button to open the new expandable area with advanced search options.

By default the new options are Price (min), Price (max), Orderby (defaults to date) and Order (defaults to desc). Additionally the search now shows 8 checkboxes of the most used terms in the Features taxonomy to let users search for example only listings with a Private Pool.

Advanced Customization

It is further possible to customize the set of search fields. If you want to add more, remove or edit existing fields (e.g. change the label or the type of a field from text to select), you can use the wpsight_get_search_fields and the wpsight_get_advanced_search_fields filter hooks to modify the arrays that hold the default values of the fields.
