WPCasa Mortgage Calculator

The WPCasa Mortgage Calculator add-on is required if you want to provide an instant mortgage calculator for the respective property on your offer page. This information shows the customers the mortgage that has to be paid and allows them to try out different options without leaving the page.

This add-on gives your user the ability to calculate the mortgage on the spot. You can set multiple default values, but your customers can also change these values according to their needs.

Also see the add-on page in our shop or the demo for a live example.

Add-On Settings

After activating the plugin you can head over to the add-on settings on WP-Admin > WPCasa > Settings and you will find the new Mortgage Calculator tab.

Add the calculator to the Listing Page Template

You can add the Mortgage Calculator to your listing page with the shortcode [wpsight_mortgage_calculator] or with the widget › WPCasa Mortgage Calculator.

Using the Shortcode

Add the shortcode [wpsight_mortgage_calculator] in your single listing page template. The shortcode supports the attribute orientation with the values vertical and horizontal. Vertical is the default value if no attribute is given.

For example you can add [wpsight_mortgage_calculator orientation="horizontal"] to show the calculator horizontally.

Setting up the Widget

If your theme supports widgets, you can easily add the mortgage calculator widget by dragging and dropping the widget into the corresponding sidebar.

In addition to the widget title, you must select whether you want to display the mortgage calculator vertically or horizontally.

Using the calculator on the listing page

When you open the single listing page, the mortgage calculator appears in the position where you placed the widget and in the orientation you specified.

The calculator is self-explanatory. The price of the listing is automatically used as the calculation value. The user can then specify what percentage of the purchase price is to be financed. Both the interest rate and the term can be set individually. If you have set different payment periods, a selection box will appear. Otherwise, the calculator will calculate the repayment according to your default settings.

Heads Up!

You can only place one mortgage calculator on the single listing page! Avoid placing a calculator in the sidebar and content area, for example.

Layout of the calculator

The example above shows the mortgage calculator without any extra design or CSS. However, it adapts to the settings of your theme when displayed. Here is an example from another theme, without adding an extra line of CSS for the mortgage calculator.
